Kansas launches new transportation plan

KANSAS — Kansas Governor Laura Kelly is hoping a new transportation plan will restore the health of state highways and improve quality of life.
At a press conference, Governor Kelly and KDOT Secretary Julie Lorenz announced the proposal of a plan called Forward.
TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Thirty-nine Kansas communities received over $17 million in Community Development Block Grants. These grants will be used for critical infrastructure needs such as fire stations, senior centers, libraries, sidewalks and streets. Read full article.
