Doctor enjoys diversity

Dr. Kristin Shields knew what she wanted and she got it.
The new Dodge City physician, working with Western Plains Specialty Associates and Western Plains Medical Complex, ended up in western Kansas because she was searching for something unique.
"When I was looking for a job, I put my information on a website and started receiving two million emails," Shields said. "I was using a standard reply to everyone I wanted a position where I could not only be an obstetrics-gynecologist, but a critical care doctor.
