Reversing brain drain in western Kansas

“Brain drain” is common phenomenon in rural areas. Young people leave their small hometowns to go to college. After they get degrees, they don’t usually return home—they go where the job opportunities are, which tends to hurt rural economies.
wKREDA wants to help reverse brain drain in western Kansas. With our “We Have Jobs” initiative, we’ve been successfully recruiting natives back to the region. The idea is to connect potential employees with businesses that need workers.
