    Curtis Machine receives new product award

    Some hardware was handed out at the annual Western Kansas Manufacturer’s Association banquet dinner.

    Curtis Machine Company, Inc., received the WKMA 2017 New Product of the Year Award for their new Curtis Machine Model 214 stainless steel 1:1 spiral bevel gearbox.

    John Curtis accepted the award on behalf of Curtis Machine from WKMA president Eddie Estes.

    Designed to operate in the most caustic of environments, the Curtis Machine Model 214 stainless steel 1:1 spiral bevel gearbox with its 316 stainless steel housing and caps, is designed to be corrosion resistant to many of the applications where salt water is present or caustic wash down chemicals are used.

    With the use of stainless steel, the new gearbox would eliminate the need for special paint that can scratch or chip, allowing corrosion to start and bacteria to grow.
