Kansas Tourism Announces Marketing Grant Awardees

Kansas Tourism today announced $102,500 has been awarded for 16 tourism-related marketing projects to enhance and expand the advertising and attraction efforts of Kansas communities. Each project is designed to attract new visitors to Kansas through innovative campaigns.
“Investing in our local tourist attractions and the unique events happening across the state plays a large role in our efforts to land new people, new dollars and new businesses in Kansas,” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said. “Our state benefits greatly from the $13.2 billion in total economic impact generated by the travel and tourism industry each year, and the Department of Commerce will continue supporting efforts to help increase that impact.”
