There’s no place like Kansas for erasing student debt
September 19, 2016
Did you know the average student racks up about $40,000 in debt while attending college? Transitioning to adulthood with such a big financial burden can be overwhelming for new graduates, particularly in a competitive job market.
There’s a smart solution for college graduates who don’t want to be weighed down by debt for decades: move to Kansas. The Rural Opportunity Zones program operates in 77 Kansas counties. It pays 20 percent of a participant’s outstanding loan debt for up to five years—a maximum of $3,000 per year for a potential total of $15,000 reimbursement.
In addition, new full-time residents might be eligible for an income tax waiver for up to five years. Learn more about how you can benefit from this terrific program. http://www.kansascommerce.com/index.aspx?nid=320
