Downtown Banners reinforces community pride

On Friday morning, residents of Phillipsburg were welcomed to the downtown area by decorative banners on the utility poles. The project, spearheaded by the Unity Coalition of Phillips County, was conceived not only to provide uniform decoration to the area but also to reinforce community pride.
The banners, in three different designs, give the messages: “Welcome to Phillipsburg,” “Phillipsburg – Panther Pride,” and, “Home of Kansas Biggest Rodeo”.
