RCH gives visitors look at new phase of expansion
April 13, 2017
In 23 years working at the Rooks County Health Center, Bill Stahl has seen a lot of changes.
He remembers the challenges faced when the hospital was located in the heart of Plainville, then the excitement of land being donated just outside the town limits where a new building could be constructed. On Wednesday afternoon, Stahl, the COO of RCH, stood in front of a group of approximately 30 visitors to introduce the grand opening of their new MRI and Nuclear Medicine Suite. The new part is the completion of the first phase of the hospital’s expansion.
“It’s really exciting,” Stahl said. “This was a huge, huge goal for us on this MRI, nuclear medicine. I remember at the old hospital, we were so excited to get the mobile service. That was a huge thing for us, and it was great. That worked great for 17 years, and we always thought it would be great if we could take care of our patients right inside the building — not having to go out to the elements, the wind, the rain, everything that Kansas offers.”
